Falling Waters Lodge

I'm so happy we found this hotel for our trip to MI! This is exactly what we were looking for, a place to stay that was also an experience. The room with a private balcony for our avid fisherman and close proximity to everything we needed. Management was quick to respond as well, couldn't have asked for a better experience!

We got lucky on our road trip and were able to book a one-night stay at Falling Waters Lodge. It POURED rain, but our day wasn't ruined because we sat on the porch and enjoyed the storm. This location is an experience in itself. Behind the building is private beach access. At night the sound of the water is so peaceful, and in the morning, you can watch the town come alive. We just needed a reset from traveling and the shower, cleanliness of the hotel, and hospitality was everything we needed. There was a small grocery store around the corner and the restaurant sold my husband beer to go before they closed to take back to hotel. I can see why people come back to this small, but mighty town year after year. This is one of those places we will always remember and share with friends. Great memories and conversations were had just sittin' watching the rain! Thank you to the friendly staff.

OK, I’m not sure how to share this. My daughter and her fiancé were married there. The weather was terrible, we had to move inside, and the hosts were more than accommodating to make sure that everything went off as planned. I cannot say enough about how the owners helped us. This is a superb venue with bass fishing and I highly recommend it. Lots of vineyards and cider venues dot the landscape. With 5+ bedrooms, great for a family as large as ours. Cannot give it enough stars.

We have stayed at Falling Waters Lodge multiple times in the summer, and we absolutely love it! It’s such a unique and special place to stay right in Fishtown. The falls are absolutely beautiful, and we love booking the top-floor rooms with a private balcony and two-story layout—it’s such a great experience. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, and the service is consistently fantastic. We’re always excited to return and can’t wait for our next stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Falling Waters Lodge in Ellijay, GA! The cabin was spacious and provided plenty of room, privacy, and comfort for our large group. The setting is absolutely beautiful—right on a gorgeous lake stocked with fish, which made for several fun days of fishing. Our family also enjoyed long walks through the neighborhood, relaxing fires in the evenings, and roasting marshmallows together. Although the home is close to the owners, Karen and Scott, their presence was minimal and never intrusive, but they were extremely helpful and responsive whenever we needed anything. We spent the week celebrating my father’s 70th birthday and loved exploring the area—local hikes, fishing charters, great dining, and sightseeing in both Ellijay and Blue Ridge. We truly made unforgettable memories and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway!

Falling Waters Lodge is a great hotel on the dam of Lake Leelanau out to Lake Michigan. It's been all renovated and the rooms are very nice with nice beds. They have rooms with kitchenettes but I tend to get the smaller rooms with a wet bar which includes a refrigerator and a microwave. The views are wonderful and everybody shares a balcony overlooking the water and Lake Michigan. Have a grill on site to cook on as well as the ice machine. The staff are quite lovely and accommodations are very nice. This is not a four seasons it's a renovated hotel that has so much charm that will make you want to come back time after time.

So charming and cozy. My husband and I loved it. Buildings are older but the updates in the kitchen and bathroom in the rooms made up for it. Full tile shower, rainfall shower head, frameless shower, it was awesome. Small kitchen but big enough, had stove and oven all stainless steel , microwave, fridge sink and dishes. Small balcony with water views. Great light and place is convenient to all the shopping and food in Fishtown. Great experience. Will be back.

My daughter and I were lucky enough to stay 2 wonderful nights here. Our room was on the first floor and our balcony outside had a awesome views of the waterfalls. Very calming. The staff was great and Kathy was so knowledgeable, and helpful and friendly. Thank Kathy. Only 2 things were challenging 1 was parking. Very limited and really need some towel racks or hooks in the bathrooms. But would definitely stay again. Mary F. Jennifer F.
